Warehouse Operative Job Opportunity

Right Now Recruitment is partnering with a forward-thinking freight forwarder to fill a Warehouse Operative position in Colnbrook. This role involves safely operating machinery to facilitate the movement of air, road, and sea freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles carrying various cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment.
  • Perform manual handling tasks as required.
  • Use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
  • Process paperwork in accordance with client requirements.
  • Help with breaking and building ULDs such as PAGs, PMCs, and AKEs.
  • Inspect cargo for discrepancies, damage, or areas of concern upon unloading.

Requirements:

  • Forklift license (counterbalance or reach).
  • Promote Health & Safety to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment checks, including a 5-year checkable employment/education history and DBS check.
