Responsibilities:- Analyse corporate governance data and financial information to provide reports for institutional investors, based on the ISS voting policies.
- Author detailed and well-reasoned written analyses on listed companies.
- Provide vote recommendations for shareholders' general meetings.
- Engage in dialogue with senior representatives of large companies as part of the research process.
- Engage with institutional investor clients and other stakeholders.
- Discuss reports and respond to questions internally and externally.
- Contribute to the publication of research papers and the development of ISS corporate governance policies.
- Develop expertise in the UK market regarding corporate governance, investment, and shareholders' issues.
- Participate in debates on corporate governance and the implementation of the voting policy among team members and other research teams.
- Impeccable written English.
- Demonstrable ability to construct a well-reasoned and cogent analysis, in clear and sophisticated language.
- Ideal experience in corporate governance and/or ESG-related fields, or in copywriting, investment writing, or financial journalism.
- Interest in finance, investment management, and corporate governance topics.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Political Sciences, International Relations, History, or English.
- Confident, polished, and diplomatic verbal communication.
- Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to absorb and distil large quantities of information.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently, take initiatives, and collaborate within a team.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office apps, especially Word and Excel).
