OpenText Employment Counsel - EMEA Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Counsel to join our EMEA legal team. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive legal support across the spectrum of employment law for our operations in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employment litigation, pre-litigation disputes, and advise on international HR matters.
  • Collaborate closely with OpenText's local HR teams, external legal counsel, and multiple works councils/employee representative bodies across various European countries.
  • Support corporate initiatives, such as cross-border mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and divestments, requiring international employment law expertise.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Business-minded lawyer with a pragmatic, solution-driven sensibility and sound judgment.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
