Lead Grower Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Grower. This role will involve working on our market garden in Hambledon, Hampshire, where you will be responsible for helping and assisting in growing vegetable crops and plants.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's experience in commercial organic growing and be an efficient, productive worker who enjoys physically active work.
You will be part of a small team and will be expected to work alone, as well as part of a team. You will also be required to record data as required.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in regenerative agriculture or organic growing industry.
Responsibilities- Helping and assisting in growing vegetable crops and plants on the farm.
- Assisting in the harvesting and preparing of veg for customers.
- Helping to run the farm and maintain the different areas of the farm.
- Keeping growing areas free of weeds and preparing new growing spaces.
- Assisting with crop planning and rotation.
- Making deliveries of produce.
- Helping run volunteer/workshop days.
- At least 1 full year's experience in commercial organic growing.
- An efficient, productive worker who enjoys physically active work.
- A wide range of practical/outdoor skills.
- A good-natured, respectful, patient, and cheerful team player.
- An open-minded, flexible approach to work and an understanding that there is always more to learn.
- A willingness to cover for other team members when required, and to muck-in with other aspects of the work at Organic Growers Alliance.
- A full clean driving licence for at least 2 years.
- Competitive salary: £22,000 per year.
