About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our Estates Department at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing assets, and providing expert advice to colleagues.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in compliance and technical knowledge, with experience in supervising multi-trade teams and managing risk and compliance systems. You will be able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and have excellent analytical and judgmental skills.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of autonomy and independence. You will be working closely with colleagues across the Trust to ensure that our estates services are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise trades personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide professional support and advice to colleagues on compliance and technical matters
  • Ensure staff training needs for specialist equipment and services are met
  • Manage risk and compliance systems to ensure a safe environment is maintained
  • Organise and implement compliance monitoring and governance systems
  • Prepare specifications and contract supervision for minor capital schemes
  • Liaise with associates in other disciplines to ensure good working relationships are maintained
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience of supervising multi-trade teams and managing risk and compliance systems
  • Excellent analytical and judgmental skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
