Job Description

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for providing a specialist compliance service to the trust, ensuring that all estates-related activities are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, health and safety regulations, and Trust policies.

The postholder will have responsibility for:

  • Providing expert advice on compliance and regulatory matters
  • Developing and implementing compliance monitoring and governance systems
  • Managing risk and ensuring that all estates-related activities are carried out in a safe and controlled manner
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that compliance requirements are met
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on compliance matters

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance and regulatory affairs, with experience in a healthcare environment. They will be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in compliance and regulatory matters, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance monitoring and governance systems
  • Manage risk and ensure that all estates-related activities are carried out in a safe and controlled manner
  • Provide expert advice on compliance and regulatory matters

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Significant post-qualification experience in compliance and regulatory affairs
  • Experience in a healthcare environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

The postholder will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. They will be required to work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that compliance requirements are met.
