The Facilities Department at the University of Worcester provides a wide range of services, including conferences, reception, catering, accommodation, estates, maintenance, and campus services. As a Student Receptionist, you will be primarily based across the 5 front-of-house areas: St Johns Reception, Charles Hastings Reception, Jenny Lind Reception, Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Reception, and the University Arena reception. Your working hours will span from 07:30 to 22:00, depending on the needs of the department.
The Reception Team is a key part of the hospitality team within Facilities and serves as the first point of contact for students, potential students, conference delegates, and visitors. You will develop skills in customer care, event organization, administration, communication, and team working.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in a customer-facing environment, liaising with customers face-to-face or over the phone, and possess clerical and/or administrative skills. You will provide a courteous, professional, and helpful welcome and assist with answering a wide range of enquiries.
Please note that this is a student pool position, and the role is part-time, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. Exact hours and days will be agreed upon.
The role requires a student who is able to work effectively in a team, provide excellent customer service, and maintain accurate records.
