Oliver Valves is seeking a skilled Subsea Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for processing subsea valve production orders from concept to final assembly, providing technical assistance throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for Subsea Sales enquiries, including reviewing technical documents, proposing suitable subsea products, and generating technical write-ups for quotations.
- Coordinate the complete processing of customer orders, including bills of materials creation and release.
- Generate production machine drawings and General Arrangement drawings using Solidworks and ACAD.
- Identify customer requirements and produce technical documents to ensure compliance.
- Perform calculations to support new designs or changes to existing designs.
- Process small internal projects under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Full working knowledge with experience on AutoCad LT and Solidworks.
- Some previous relevant work experience with a company within the subsea industry.
- 2 to 8 years of working experience.
- Regularly identifies opportunities for improvement and instigates changes to working practices.
- Takes ownership of projects and delivers to completion within agreed timescales.
- Shows initiative and makes decisions at the appropriate level based on experience and role.
- Proactively weighs up the pros and cons of important situations and shares information as appropriate.
