Company Overview

The East Lothian Council is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a School Crossing Patrol Guide. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe passage of children across roads, in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and Council policies and procedures.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate of pay is £12, with working hours during school term time only. Part-time hours/sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly. As an employee of East Lothian Council, you will have access to a range of benefits, including pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.

Job Description

To assist in the delivery of the School Crossing Service throughout East Lothian. This will involve working independently to ensure the safe movement of children across roads, whilst also promoting road safety awareness and education within the community.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PVG membership (Protection of Vulnerable Groups)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
