About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administration Support Officer to join our Governance and Quality Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full administration support to the Governance and Quality Team, ensuring the smooth operation of the team's activities.
  • Update and maintain the W&C microsite for Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Neonates, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide clerical support to clinicians, ensuring guidelines, standard operating procedures, and policies are in the correct formats before uploading to the appropriate microsites.
  • Compile agendas for meetings and take minutes, ensuring accurate records of discussions and decisions.
  • Triage telephone enquiries, providing timely and effective support to patients and staff.
  • Maintain databases to track guidelines, standard operating procedures, and policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to all who require them.
  • Assist with arranging meetings and events, ensuring smooth logistics and effective communication.
Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable:
    • ECDL.
  • Knowledge:
    • Microsoft Word skills and experience.
    • Conversant with administration practices.
    • Microsoft Excel skills and experience.
  • Experience:
    • Previous secretarial or office experience.
    • Working as part of a team.
    • Maintaining confidentiality.
    • Problem-solving.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience of working in a hospital.
    • Use of clinical information systems.
  • Skills:
    • Minute-taking.
    • Able to prioritize workload.
    • Advanced keyboard skills.
    • Positive approach to work.
