About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to lead a team of trainees in practical biodiversity tasks and projects along the John Muir Way. As a Team Leader Trainee, you will be responsible for line managing the trainees, delivering practical training, and contributing to project evaluation, local budget management, and program promotion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of six Green Skills Trainees per year in Edinburgh, Falkirk, North Lanarkshire, and East Dunbartonshire.
- Manage the delivery of practical training and biodiversity enhancement tasks on partner sites.
- Liaise with greenspace teams in Local Authorities and Scottish Canals to agree sites and projects.
- Contribute to project evaluation, local budget management, and program promotion.
- Work closely with the People and Admin Coordinator to manage the schedule of external training, trainee attendance, annual leave, onboarding, and program exiting.
- Previous management of a training program or structured delivery model.
- Mentoring and/or coaching young people.
- A passion for supporting young people to achieve their goals.
- Knowledge and understanding of practical biodiversity projects.
