Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Frailty and Front Door team as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will work as part of a proactive and enthusiastic integrated team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Therapy Assistants in the emergency, ambulatory, and acute ward areas.

Main Duties
  • Provide and develop high-standard Occupational Therapy services in the Frailty and Front Door specialty.
  • Manage a caseload of patients independently, balancing clinical and non-clinical duties in a flexible and responsive manner.
  • Provide standard and non-standard Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions, and advice using evidence-based, patient-centered principles.
  • Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to promote independence and facilitate safe, timely, and appropriate discharge.
  • Contribute to clinical audit and service development, working with senior team members, professional leads, and Head of Therapies.
  • Manage, supervise, and develop staff members within the team and wider therapies services.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Degree in Occupational Therapy
    • HCPC registration
    • Experience of working in an acute NHS setting
    • Experience of working with older adults
    • Experience of MDT working
    • Experience working in emergency care/ambulatory areas
  • Desirable:
    • Experience working on a frailty ward
