About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our established Neuro Rehabilitation team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and specialist occupational therapy, managing a clinical caseload, completing assessments, treatment sessions, and discharge planning. They will also take on operational responsibilities for the running of the OT team on a daily basis and lead on service development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and specialist occupational therapy
  • Manage a clinical caseload, completing assessments, treatment sessions, and discharge planning
  • Take on operational responsibilities for the running of the OT team on a daily basis
  • Lead on service development initiatives
  • Offer clinical supervision and support to Band 5 and Band 6 therapists and therapy assistants

Person Specification
  • HCPC registration as Occupational Therapist
  • Graduate Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital or intermediate care setting
  • Experience within specific acute hospital areas
  • Experience of working as a Band 6 OT
