Centrica Energy is a leading player in the energy market, and we're committed to staying ahead of the curve. As our new Director of Artificial Intelligence, you'll be instrumental in shaping our AI strategy, driving business growth, and operational efficiency.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll develop and refine our Digitalisation & AI strategy, aligning it with business objectives and market trends. You'll identify opportunities, define AI use cases, and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement AI/ML/Analytic strategies in commodity trading, financial services, or similar environments.
- Lead the planning and execution of Digitalisation & AI projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define AI use cases, develop business cases, and secure buy-in.
- Monitor and evaluate AI initiative performance, tracking key metrics and providing regular updates.
- Stay informed about the latest AI developments, industry trends, and best practices, incorporating insights into our Digitalisation & AI strategy.
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in Digitalisation & AI development and deployment.
About You:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing AI/ML/Analytic strategies.
- Understanding of Digitalisation & AI technologies, including machine learning, GenAI, computer vision, and their applications in business.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen, with the ability to translate Digitalisation & AI concepts into actionable strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to ethical Digitalisation & AI principles and practices, with a focus on fairness, transparency, and accountability.
