Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our team as a Sonobuoys Production Lead. This is a key role within our UK Sonobuoys Business, bridging both in-service production and support and development of product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate engineering support to production, covering supply chain and production issues.
  • Lead on production acceptance activities through range testing and assess production and range failures.
  • Engineer lead on product design maintenance for in-service Sonobuoys, including resolution of obsolescence and maintenance of drawings/documentation.
  • Lead on ad-hoc customer tasking, including design studies and trade studies.
Requirements
  • A foundation in Systems Engineering with an understanding of Software Engineering and ideally a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience of producing engineering schedules with dependencies and managing risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and opportunities.
  • Experience of engineering estimation, with an ability to review, challenge, and justify estimates.
  • Experience of management of Work Package Management.
