Job Title: Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Academics Ltd

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant in an Alternative Provision setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The role is based in Aylesbury and offers a competitive salary of £23,000 - £25,600 per annum (£450-£500 per week), depending on experience.

About the Job:
  • To collaborate with teaching staff to provide support to students with diverse additional needs associated with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • To build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and other professionals to ensure the well-being and academic success of all students.
  • To assist with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment to ensure students receive a high-quality education.
  • To provide individualized support to students with complex needs, including those with Autism, SEMH, and other learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teaching staff in developing and implementing lesson plans to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with complex needs, including those with Autism and SEMH.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive support and services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
