About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Executive Chef to join our restaurant leadership team at Wagamama. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading by example and driving performance through positive behavior and actions in a fast-paced and complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service standards.
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen management systems to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to drive menu development and implementation, ensuring alignment with Wagamama's culinary vision.
  • Manage kitchen budgets and labor costs to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations, maintaining a spotless kitchen environment.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting employee engagement and well-being.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Proven track record of driving performance through positive behavior and actions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and engage team members.
  • Experience in managing kitchen budgets and labor costs.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations, with a focus on maintaining a spotless kitchen environment.
