Technical QA Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical QA Analyst to join our team at Build A Rocket Boy. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with QA leadership to develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining QA workflows and processes to ensure efficient testing and quality control.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for specific game features, providing technical guidance and support to the team.
  • Mentor and develop the Tech QA Analyst and Associate Tech QA Analyst team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and production, to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Develop and distribute test plans to ensure effective testing of game areas and related content.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards in the bug reporting database, ensuring accurate and timely issue tracking.
  • Compile documentation to verify the state of new content and features, providing valuable insights for the development team.
  • Escalate risks and serious issues promptly to relevant parties, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact.
  • Lead by example in performance and knowledge, setting a high standard for QA Analysts and promoting a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable professional experience in game industry Quality Assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of game testing tools and technologies, including Jira and UE.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with source control systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple disciplines.
  • Proactive mindset, with a passion for gaming and developing high-quality experiences.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional QA experience in a software or game-testing environment.
  • Prior experience in QA for game development, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with JIRA and Testrail, with a strong understanding of bug tracking and issue resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple disciplines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to think analytically, work systematically, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong autonomous attitude and ability to prioritize tasks, with a passion for gaming and developing high-quality experiences.
