Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Artist-in-Residence to join our team at Charterhouse, a prestigious independent boarding school in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced artist to contribute to the educational and creative development of our students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading academic extension activities, supporting the Director of Wellbeing and Inclusion in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and delivering workshops to Art scholars and other pupils. They will also assist in supervising pupils' independent work during open-studio sessions and provide guidance on their projects.

In addition to their artistic expertise, we are looking for someone who can engage with people from diverse backgrounds, promote EDI, and understand the importance of safeguarding young people. A postgraduate qualification or experience in teaching would be beneficial.

This role offers a salary of £12,000, paid for 32 weeks of term-time, and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own studio practice while sharing their experiences with our students.
