Job Title: Senior Project Accountant

Job Summary:

KBS Maritime Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading financial transaction ownership, including cost allocation, timesheet recording, and accruals/prepayments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the revenue cycle from initial recognition through to customer billing.
  • Manage, upskill, and develop the existing Projects team of three (One Accountant and Two Cost Controllers).
  • Prepare accurate forecasts and proactively business partner to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful provisions and feedback of all project reporting.
  • Deliver end-to-end accounting support of facilities management and construction projects across various sectors.

Requirements:

  • Prior employment experience within the defence sector or construction services (desirable).
  • Exposure to preparing management accounting transactions for a complex organisation.
  • Demonstratable experience explaining financial results to non-specialists.
  • Highly IT literate (proficient in MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint & Word).
  • Familiarity with SAP B1 or experience in other complex ERP systems.
  • Proven experience in statutory reporting processes, including the provision of information to auditors.
  • Qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), QBE/PQ may also be considered.
