About the Role
Hays Senior Finance is seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Manager to lead a small operational finance team for a regional retail organisation. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and robust finance offering is available to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the production of all management accounts, including variance analysis, gap analysis, and commentary where necessary.
- Own the delivery of all annual processes and budgets, utilizing the support of the operational team to deliver effectively.
- Attend monthly reviews, present, and influence stakeholders to take advantage of market opportunities.
- Develop and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance team efficiency.
- Contribute to financial appraisal processes, utilizing knowledge and systems to ensure accurate projections and identify suitable investment opportunities.
- Take ownership of statutory accounts, VAT returns, and selected tax tasks, working closely with the audit partner.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant role, with a relevant qualification.
- Team management experience and exposure to taxation, although not essential.
- Highly commercial individual with the ability to see opportunities and utilize them.
What We Offer
A competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, plus great benefits and on-site parking.
