Key Responsibilities:- Provide guidance and support on deal structuring and industry-related matters
- Manage commercial real estate transactions through their life-cycle
- Support the origination of new business and implementation of business strategy
- Assess potential, define, and select target customers in assigned regions and markets
- Originate target customers and maintain existing customer relationships while ensuring strategic criteria are met and observing earnings and risk requirements
- Manage commercial real estate transactions through their life-cycle
- Assess commercial real estate transactions in accordance with underwriting guidelines, including independent assessment, indicative ratings, and written recommendations on quality of transaction and plausibility of financing or restructuring proposals
- Develop and negotiate structures and strategies for financing, including optimization of the financing structure with regard to funding, equity burden, and risk shielding
- Set up, coordinate, and lead deal teams and manage the credit approval process, including monitoring of the credit approval process up to the credit decision across all decision-making levels
- Implement and document credit approvals, including negotiation of loan and collateral documentation with the customer and external parties, and management of internal administration process with other departments and financial close management
- Ongoing monitoring of existing portfolio over the term of the loans until repayment
- Maintain a high level of expertise and facilitate knowledge transfer within the wider team
- Monitor regulatory, sector, and industry-specific market and influencing factors, including assessment of sector strategy
- Support the back office and special credit departments in the development and implementation of restructuring and recovery concepts with the involvement of management and specialist lawyers
- Support of and knowledge transfer to more junior team members and where required in special situations
- 10+ years of professional real estate financing and loan management experience
- Highly experienced in structuring complex commercial real estate transactions
- Expert knowledge of legal, regulatory, and industry requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK commercial real estate market
- Excellent credit, analytical, and modeling skills
