Role Description:
The Dedicated Home Companion role at Home Instead involves providing companionship and support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. This role requires a caring and empathetic approach to care, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and support to clients in their own homes
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care and medication management
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for clients
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients
Requirements:
- Must have a caring and supportive approach to care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and transfer clients (if necessary)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
