Senior Accountant

TPF Recruitment is supporting a dynamic firm of chartered accountants in their search for an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior. Our client is a forward-thinking firm that values staff retention and offers a great working environment. You will work in a general practice capacity across accounts, audit, and tax, with the opportunity to build your role around your experience and aspirations.
You will be exposed to a diverse range of businesses, primarily owner-managed, from £10m turnover to £100m turnover. Reporting to the Audit and Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed and some not-for-profit organisations.
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, liaising with the team and client as necessary.
- Providing accountancy and taxation advice and support to clients as needed.
- Hosting and conducting pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
- Assisting in the management of a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
- Mentoring colleagues, reviewing their work, and encouraging prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
- Developing and expanding the team's skillset through development plans, training, and support.
- Contributing to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
- ACA / ACCA Qualified
- At least 3+ years practice experience
- Highly organised
- Strong communication skills
- A competitive salary of £42,000 - £48,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
