We are currently seeking a seasoned HSE trainer to join our team at Worldwide Recruitment Solutions. As a Safety Standards Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for a major infrastructure project located in Teesside, with an initial period of 2-3 months based in Kingston. Your primary focus will be on upholding safety standards, enhancing workforce competence, and adhering to project-specific risk assessments.

Key Objectives:
  1. Conduct extensive training needs analyses to identify skill gaps among personnel.
  2. Deliver training sessions to subcontractors' trainers, equipping them with project-specific HSE knowledge.
  3. Design and manage intricate training schedules that align with workforce and activity planning.
  4. Efficiently communicate training schedules to subcontractors, ensuring timely execution.
  5. Audit and endorse training materials prepared by subcontractors, guaranteeing their quality and relevance.
  6. Assess subcontractor training facilities to ensure they conform to project requirements.
  7. Maintain precise records of HSE training and assessments.
  8. Provide support to the Principal Contractor's HSE Site Team on training-related matters, offering expert advice and guidance.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven track record as an HSE trainer in large-scale projects, with a deep understanding of industry best practices.
  • Strong comprehension of key safety principles, encompassing Life Saving Rules, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, and Control of Work.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, facilitating seamless collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Capacity to conduct audits and ensure adherence to training standards, pinpointing areas for improvement.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of HSE training and assessments.
