Audit Assistant Manager Role

The Evelyn Partners Audit department is renowned for producing quality, incisive audit work in a collegiate environment. We work closely with dynamic mid-market businesses, providing them with continual development opportunities and new experiences.

This role involves planning, performing, and completing audits for each assignment, ensuring clients receive a high-quality service through effective resource management and liaison with relevant departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with key contacts at the client.
  • Deliver an efficient and proactive service, exceeding client expectations.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly, keeping the client Partner or Director informed about the job's progress.
  • Maintain awareness of commercial aspects of clients' businesses and their impact on our work.
  • Highlight opportunities for Evelyn Partners apparent from work undertaken.
  • Regularly discuss progress with the client, confirming solutions to any hurdles and ensuring reasonable expectations are met.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) with demonstrable audit and accounts experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable experience of supervising others and delegating work effectively.
  • Ability to motivate staff and ensure best performance.
  • Excellent organisational skills, enabling work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, directors, staff, and other professionals.
  • Ability to monitor costs against budget for individual clients proactively.

Compensation Package: The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include competitive salary, private medical insurance, life assurance, pension contribution, hybrid working model, generous holiday package, option to purchase additional holiday, and shared parental leave.
