About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Learning Disability Team. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to adults with learning disabilities in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, and implement speech and language therapy treatment and management plans for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive service to clients.
  • Supervise pre-registration students and provide clinical support to team members.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, carers, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the team's service delivery plan.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Minimum of five years post-qualification experience in speech and language therapy, including experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of contemporary health and social care legislation and policy direction.
