Teaching Assistant for SEND Support

A Psychology Graduate - Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant is sought by EdEx to work in a Secondary school based in Haringey.
This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience under the guidance of experienced professionals, including Therapists, Psychologists, and SENCOs. The successful candidate will be working closely with class Teachers across KS3, KS4 & KS5 and will be involved in leading 1:1 and group intervention sessions with students to promote personal and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working across KS3, KS4 & KS5 closely with class Teachers
- Working closely with knowledgeable Therapist, Psychologist and SENCO
- Leading 1:1 and group intervention sessions with students to promote personal and academic growth
- Assisting students with varying SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc)
Requirements:
- Hold a 1st or 2:1 in Psychology
- Be a driven and hard-working individual who can work well within a team
- Maintain a calm, understanding and thoughtful approach when working with students
- Previous experience working alongside SEND is desirable
