About the Role

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover a team member's absence, with the possibility of extending or becoming permanent. As a Payroll Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end processing of the monthly payroll for staff, working closely with the Payroll Deputy Team Leader.

You will have exposure to international payroll processing and participate in project groups focusing on various topics. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with all payroll processing activities, including starters, leavers, one-off payments, and tax uploads
  • Checking payroll changes, sickness absence, and statutory absence, including maternity and shared parental leave
  • International payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliations
  • Payroll reconciliations and data cleansing
  • Assisting with correspondence and customer service
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong payroll processing experience
  • Solid working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work with high accuracy and to tight timescales
  • Awareness or experience of working in a Shared Service Centre environment
  • Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
  • Ability to create and review procedures
  • Process improvement experience
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
