This is an exciting chance to join the team at MP Moran, a family-owned builders' merchant. Our trade counter is a one-stop shop for a vast range of building and plumbing supplies.

As a Hardware Trade Counter Sales Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of hardware and building materials is desired
  • Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • The ability to prioritize responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist with deliveries in and out of the store
  • Deal with any customer queries effectively and communicate with colleagues
  • Order goods
  • Respond positively and effectively to customer needs
  • Assist in the company stock counts

Working Hours: Flexible and to be discussed at interview: Monday to Friday 7.00am – 5.00pm, alternate Saturdays 7.30am - 3.00pm

Compensation: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
