We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior Manager to join our Corporate, Listed and Regulated Audit team at KPMG-UnitedKingdom. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who want to take on a challenging role in managing and delivering our largest and most complex audit engagements to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring the delivery of a quality audit and appropriate profitability.

• Direct and oversee the work of junior team members, ensuring compliance with KPMG Audit Methodology requirements, including reviewing their audit work and providing coaching and mentoring support.

• Project manage all aspects of audit delivery, including timelines, team briefings, team supervision and reviews by more senior team members, including Directors and Partners.

• Act as the initial point of contact throughout the year for our audited entities.

• Manage stakeholder relationships to facilitate the execution of the audit.

• Manage the finances of the engagement, including budgeting, fee negotiation, identifying and communicating overruns, raising fees and agreeing dates for cash collection.

• Manage Partner and/or Director involvement on the audit.

• Identify, research and help to resolve the most complex audit issues.

• Communicate with audited entities and KPMG specialists on complex, technical matters relevant to the audits.

• Prepare engagement deliverables, such as audit committee papers, and attend audited entity board/audit committee meetings.

• Work on audit tenders for potential new audited entities.

• Performance manage junior team members, ensuring that you are having rich development conversations that supports their growth and career progression.

Requirements:

• Significant and recent experience as an Audit Senior Manager in an external audit capacity working on large and complex audited entities.

• Sound working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

• Sound working knowledge of International Standards on Auditing.

• Proven track record of managing and delivering a portfolio of high quality, complex audits.

• Experience of using proprietary software to manage the audit workflow and document audit evidence.

• Experience of performance managing teams, coaching and mentoring junior staff.

• IT literate with sound knowledge and experience of MS Tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
