About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic practitioner to join our team as a DBT Therapist in Training. As a key member of our clinical team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) while providing high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for completing postgraduate training in DBT, working under supervision to deliver full-package DBT as part of a team, including group work and coaching. You will also help deliver DBT-informed interventions such as emotional coping skills groups and Family Connections groups for relatives and carers of those experiencing difficulties linked to emotion dysregulation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a core professional training in mental health (nursing, occupational therapy, or social work) and some experience of working with people with a diagnosis of emotionally unstable personality disorder. You should also have solid experience in mental health and strong interpersonal skills, together with the motivation and aptitude to complete a postgraduate qualification in psychological therapy.
