Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Coventry-based Secondary school. The successful candidate will support children and young people with hearing impairment and other moderate learning disabilities, including autism.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, particularly in British Sign Language (BSL), and have experience working with children with similar challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance
- Supporting a small group of children with hearing impairment and other moderate learning disabilities
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders using BSL
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar setting
- BSL Level 2 or higher certification
