Fabrication Project Manager

As a Project Manager at NP Aerospace, you will be responsible for the management of projects supporting the delivery of new defence protection products, such as armour plates, shields, helmets, and bomb disposal suits.
The role will include the management of projects across the Composite and Armour Systems business, requiring a strong understanding of technical and engineering principles.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and coordinate resources required for projects, ensuring delivery on time, to the right quality standards, and to agreed project budgets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Technical direction to ensure system design meets customer's technical specification and quality or regulatory requirements
- Management of a full product life cycle from bids and project initiation through development and verification, into full rate production
- Interaction with Production and Quality teams to investigate and obtain necessary corrective action data
- Provision of robust management information reporting on progress both internally and externally
- Maintenance of Project Management Plans and associated governance documentation
We are looking for an experienced Project Management professional with strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and proficiency in Microsoft packages, including MS Project.
As a self-starter who can work independently and effectively under minimal supervision, you will be able to quickly identify the critical path and mitigate risks as they are identified.

- Formal technical/engineering qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of successfully leading the delivery of technically focused projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
