Job Title: Lead Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Counsel to join our team at Taylor Root. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and guidance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on commercial and public sector contracts, intellectual property, and licensing matters related to AI.
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  • Assume a trusted adviser role across the organization, providing exposure to a diverse group of technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Contribute to addressing a broad spectrum of legal issues, with a primary focus on commercial and public sector contracts, intellectual property, and licensing matters.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in IT and IP law, either from a leading law firm or someone seeking to transition into an in-house role from such a background.
  • Training and qualification from a leading law firm, specialising in commercial technology and intellectual property, with exposure to privacy compliance.
  • Solid understanding of legal issues relating to AI and data projects.
