Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Area Cleaning Manager to join our team at Lawrence Cleaning Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of cleaning contracts and ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contract/Site Management: Manage a varied portfolio of around 36 accounts, ensuring the service delivery specification is implemented and adhered to.
  • Client Liaison: Regularly liaise with clients to plan and implement an auditing program to monitor standards and client satisfaction in all contracts.
  • Operational Management: Ensure all client queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner, and that the Operations Manager is kept fully advised of any operational difficulties.
  • Financial Management: Ensure the financial performance of each contract is controlled to the budgeted requirements, including staffing levels, pay rates, materials, and equipment.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a support team within your area, ensuring adequate supplies are onsite and that new staff are recruited, inducted, and trained.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and review the performance of staff, and effectively communicate the company's required standards to staff.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all management and control systems are adhered to, and that the company is complying with HR, quality, environmental, and health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in cleaning contract management
  • Proven track record of staff management
  • Experience of managing multiple accounts
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • An excellent understanding of H&S requirements
  • The ability to work within agreed budgets
  • Lots of initiative and positive attitude
  • Be a skilled Administrator
  • Ability to handle objections and think on your feet
  • Results driven with a strong work ethic and proactive approach
  • Excellent rapport building skills with a confident and outgoing personality
  • A good working IT knowledge
  • Be able to work rotating shifts
