Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Akari Care. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

  • Work collaboratively with the Cook and catering team to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our residents feel valued and supported.

  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive team culture.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar environment, preferably in a care home or catering setting.

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.

  • A caring and compassionate nature, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents.

  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and respond to changing situations.
