Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kitchen / Catering Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen processes, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional care and support to our residents during mealtimes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Collaborate with the Cook to plan and prepare nutritious meals that cater to individual dietary needs and preferences.
  • Food Presentation and Service: Ensure that all meals are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner, and that residents receive excellent service during mealtimes.
  • Kitchen Operations: Assist with the efficient running of the kitchen, including food preparation, plating, and serving.
  • Resident Support: Provide personalized care and support to residents during mealtimes, ensuring their individual needs are met.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a similar environment, preferably in a care home or catering setting.
  • Certifications: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
  • Personal Qualities: A caring and compassionate nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
