Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and friendly Primary School in Islington.
About the Role: As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting Teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment, recording and reporting pupil progress, and helping pupils stay focused during class hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment
- Record and report pupil progress to Teachers
- Help pupils stay focused during class hours
- Supervise group activities, sport events, and school outings
- Help Teachers manage student behaviour
- Look after children who are unwell or upset
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to create an encouraging learning environment, and active listening skills. You will also need to have a good understanding of lessons that pupils are required to learn in class.
