Dumfries and Galloway Council is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment for all children and young people.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for Personal and Social Education (PSE) and a curricular remit of Physical Education. This part-time position (0.4 FTE) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of learners in Dumfries Learning Town schools and The Bridge.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with expertise in education leadership, specifically in supporting the well-being and academic success of pupils. As an Education Leader, you will be responsible for delivering courses as part of the Broad General Education (BGE) and/or senior phase curriculum, ensuring that learners receive high-quality teaching and learning experiences. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for improving pupil outcomes and promoting social-emotional learning.

A significant relocation package may be available to support the successful candidate in relocating to the area. We offer a competitive salary range of £62,000 pro rata, depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and meet the requirements for Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. A Disclosure Scotland Check and Police Record Check may be required prior to employment.
