Job Description

At YHA, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Housekeeping Team as a Team Member. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare bedrooms between guest departures and arrivals, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all shower and toilet areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
  • Keep the hostel reception and social areas clean and tidy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
  • Efficiently and effectively undertake housekeeping tasks, maintaining consistent cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
  • Comply with YHA requirements for the use and storage of cleaning products, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
  • Report any faults or damage to a member of the hostel management team, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Sort and distribute used and unused linen, playing a key role in our guests' comfort.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of YHA's core purpose and values.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with predominantly bunk bed-style accommodation.
