Job Summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled Cost Manager to join our team. As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing the cost of construction projects, including estimating, cost planning, and tendering. You will also be involved in feasibility studies, procurement reports, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in feasibility studies and procurement reports
  • Estimate and cost plan projects, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Tender and procure projects, including managing the pre-qualification stage and producing the tender list
  • Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Take personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client
  • Input into value engineering and negotiate final accounts
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
  • MRICS qualified
  • UK Cost Management experience within the Real Estate/Property sector
  • Experience working on larger projects of £10m value or over (or equivalent)
  • Experience working on new build and fit-out projects
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing ability
