Job Title: Cost Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Consultant to join our Consult Health Team. As a Cost Consultant, you will play a key role in the delivery of healthcare projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies and advise on procurement strategies and contract selection
  • Apply value management techniques at the outset of a project
  • Manage, estimate, and cost plan activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan
  • Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed
  • Be a key interface with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages
  • Handle contractual frameworks and standard form of contract
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products, and hence improve the services provided to clients
Requirements:
  • A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent and previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration, specifically JCT and NEC, and knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction
  • Experience in delivering projects in a consultancy environment, keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer
