About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Leader to join our team at Greene King. As a key member of our Digital Technology leadership group, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy and driving the delivery of our digital products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing software engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Develop and implement engineering and operating model strategies to drive cost-effective and agile development services
  • Engage with external partners and vendors to ensure effective delivery of digital development projects
  • Resource and recruit a new Digital Engineering and Testing CoE to include capabilities around Release Management, Testing, Integration Development, and wider application development
  • Measure, report, and govern engineering performance, cost, and quality to ensure compliance and necessary standards

Requirements

  • Experience of building and leading a high-performing software engineering team
  • In-depth knowledge of development practices within the Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Strong technical skills with experience across development languages and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile development practices and hybrid approaches
  • Experience of managing multiple third-party partners and vendors
