**Job Summary**

The Isle of Wight Council is seeking a skilled Coastal Capital Projects Manager to lead the delivery of coastal protection projects that support the protection of our home, people, and environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Commission and manage a range of maintenance projects on coastal structures using effective project management skills.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to agreed objectives, timescales, quality standards, and performance targets.
  • Work with engineers, contractors, design engineers, and communities to deliver projects with community benefits.
  • Plan and prioritize work activity, and work with minimal supervision when required.
  • Maintain database records accurately and efficiently, and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Proactively learn how to use team-specific software, and have confidence in using ICT in general.
  • Liaise with a wide range of people, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong numeracy skills, with the ability to manage financial data.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
