Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coastal Capital Projects Manager to join our team at the Isle of Wight Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering coastal protection projects that support the protection of our home, people, and environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on commissioning and managing maintenance projects on coastal structures using effective project management skills.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to agreed objectives, timescales, quality standards, and performance targets.
  • Work with engineers, contractors, design engineers, and communities to deliver projects with community benefits.
  • Maintain database records accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with a wide range of people, dealing with enquiries via email and phone from building professionals, solicitors, and the general public.
Requirements
  • Confidence using general office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong numeracy skills, as much of the work relates to financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand technical terminology used in our teams.
