Test Analyst Job Description

Experis is seeking a skilled Test Analyst to join our team in the South East region. As a Test Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and develop comprehensive test cases using SpecFlow.
  • Develop and execute test cases across various levels, with a focus on system testing, unit tests, and integration tests involving SQL and Azure Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage meets project requirements and quality standards.
  • Use SQL for querying and validating data, and ensure accurate integration between SQL and Azure Data Factory components.
  • Execute tests, report defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues and ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Perform PySpark testing in Databricks to ensure big data solutions are reliable and performant.
  • Document test cases, test results, and provide clear reporting on testing activities.

Key Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in software testing with a strong ability to convert requirements into coded test cases.
  • Proficiency in writing test cases using SpecFlow at various levels, particularly system testing, unit, and integration tests.
  • Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and Azure Data Factory for integration testing.
  • Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with PySpark testing in Databricks.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
