Job Title: Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

About the Role:
At Serco, we are seeking an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the financial forecasting, planning, and performance analysis for our UK & Europe Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the annual budgeting process and monthly in-year reforecasting activities, as well as providing finance business partner support to the Divisional CEO, CFO, and General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the financial input into the UK&E Division's annual budgeting exercise, ensuring high-quality submissions that balance ambition with risk management.
  2. Support the annual 5-year strategic planning process.
  3. Oversee the monthly reforecasting process, ensuring risks and opportunities are well understood and communicated effectively to senior management.
  4. Prepare insightful analysis of the Division's financial performance, supporting the senior leadership team in decision-making and risk mitigation.
  5. Support Group-wide FP&A projects and assist with external reporting, including in the provision of information to shareholders and the auditors.
  6. Provide financial business partner support to the Divisional CEO, CFO, and General Counsel for managing central budgets.
  7. Manage the day-to-day operations of the offshore Accenture team aligned to the Divisional Finance function.
  8. Continuously improve FP&A processes in collaboration with Business Unit Finance teams and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
  1. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with demonstrable post-qualification experience.
  2. Strong financial modelling skills and expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and management accounts.
  3. Advanced analytical skills with experience in handling complex data sets and turning them into actionable insights.
  4. Experience working with financial systems, including SAP, BPC, and BW.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.
  6. Flexible, innovative approach to problem solving.
