Job Description

Galliford Try Holdings plc is seeking a highly skilled Apprentice Construction Site Engineer to join our team in Norwich, Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Site Agent and Project Manager on larger value schemes, ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish level and survey control for contracts
  • Set out detailed works as per contract drawings, ensuring regular checks
  • Ensure accurate records comply with organisational and legal requirements
  • Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other site problems
  • Assist in ITPs and Task Briefings production
  • Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities
  • Undertake material reconciliations
  • Ensure surveying equipment calibration
  • Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings
  • Produce 2D and 3D site sketches
  • Maintain quality records and ensure works conform to Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)

The estimated salary for this role is around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
