Multi-Drop Parcel Delivery Driver

Pertemps Scotland is delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting multi-drop parcel delivery drivers. If you have excellent customer service skills and want to be a part of a dynamic and growing industry, this position is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:- Sorting and Collection: You'll start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered.
- Customer Signature Capture: You'll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next.
- Physical Demands: The role will be physically demanding, where you'll be walking at least 8 miles per day. You will also be required to carry a bag that can weigh up to 16kg, delivering letters and parcels, with parcels weighing up to 20kg.
- Driving and On-Foot Delivery: Driving and on foot delivery will be required, and you will be required to push/pull a trolley during deliveries.
- Valid UK Driving License: Valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points. (A clean license is preferred)
- Previous Delivery or Driving Experience: Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Time Management and Organisation: Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Communication and Customer Service: Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Safe and Responsible Driving Practices: A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
- Working in All Weathers: Working outdoors in all weathers is required.
